Piotr Matczuk is an economist and manager with 17 years of professional experience, including 10 years in international development institutions. From 2017 to 2024, he served as the representative of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) – part of the World Bank Group in Poland, where he was responsible for implementing IFC’s strategy, managing investment and advisory projects, business development, and relationships with public and private partners. Before joining IFC, he oversaw strategic projects at PKP Intercity. Between 2011 and 2014, he was an advisor on the supervisory board of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). From 2008 to 2011, he worked as a financial market analyst at the National Bank of Poland and as a research associate at the Warsaw School of Economics. He holds a degree in economics from the Warsaw School of Economics and completed the Sustainable Corporations program at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
